Since our inception, our mission has been to improve women's health and well-being through services like prevention, promotion, treatment, and rehabilitation. Snehita is a group of a diverse individuals—from respected past and present institutional Heads to compassionate community health volunteers from different walks of life, all united by the single mission to reach out to every unserved woman and educate her on the importance of early detection of the disease through expert-led camps and seminars.
The cornerstone of our foundation is the early detection of breast cancer at a stage where a cure is not just a hope but a reality. This noble aim is achievable through the diligent spread of awareness about the disease and the promotion of early detection methods. Inspired and guided by the wisdom of Dr. Paul Augustine, a renowned Surgical Oncologist, Regional Cancer Center, Thiruvananthapuram, we have established a service clinic that stands as a testament to our commitment to meet the community's screening needs.
The dream of Snehita Women's Health Foundation was nurtured into existence with the selfless support of Dr. Regi Jose, Professor of Community Medicine at Sree Gokulam Medical College, and Dr. Anoop Lal, Director of ZOVOZ Technologies. Their vision and leadership have been instrumental in creating a sustainable service facility that caters to the screening needs of women, blossoming into the entity we proudly know today as the Snehita Women's Health Foundation.
Since our inception in 2016, Snehita Women's Health Foundation has been unwavering in its mission to improve women's health through proactive measures and comprehensive support. Our dedication to early cancer detection, particularly breast cancer, is underscored by our continuous efforts to educate and screen as many women as possible. By offering free clinics, awareness programs, and emotional support, we strive to mitigate the impacts of cancer on women and their families, fostering a community where health and hope flourish.
In the efforts to combat the growing burden of Breast, Oral cavity, and Colorectal Cancer, 18 service organizations joined hands, in Feb 2024, to form the collective named Conquer Cancer Consortium. We firmly believe that by joining hands, we can make a significant difference. Our mission is to collaborate and unite our strengths, knowledge, and resources to educate, raise awareness among public and caregivers and to make a significant impact in cancer prevention, its early detection, palliative care and to overcome cancer related stigma.
