Snehita Women’s Health Foundation is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization (Reg. No. AARTS3565M/09/16-17/T-0178) registered as a trust established in 2016 with a mission to work towards improving women’s health and wellbeing through preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services. Guided by the principles of Ethics, Expertise and Empathy, Snehita comprises of diverse dedicated individuals, from former and present heads of institutions to community health volunteers. We have a TEAM consisting of volunteers from different walks of life to reach the unreached through camps and awareness sessions.
Early detection of breast cancer cases at a curable stage is the main aim of Snehita. This could be achieved only by spreading awareness about the disease and the ways to detect it early. With the inspiration, encouragement and guidance from Dr.Paul Augustine, Surgical Oncologist from Regional Cancer Center,Thiruvananthapuram to address the unmet screening needs of the community a service clinic for Snehita had become a reality.
With the able support and encouragement from Dr.Anoop Lal,Director, Center for Preventive Health,Dr.Regi Jose Professor of Community Medicine Sree Gokulam Medical College started a sustainable service facility which catered to the screening needs of the ladies, which later turned out to be “Snehita Women’s Health foundation”.
